It is slightly larger than Earth and is in a very close orbit around the Beta star....There are 3 stars in the Alpha Centauri system. Alpha, the largest, is about 10 percent larger than our Sun. Beta is about 10 percent smaller. They orbit each other at a variable distance, similar to the distances of Saturn and Pluto from our Sun. The third star (Proxima Centauri) is much further out and fainter, and may not actually be a part of the system. www.universetoday.com/98031/next-door-neighbors-earth-sized-planet-discovered-in-nearest-star-system-to-us/
